The entry for the World Rally Championship’s first visit to Rally México in three years has been published.
As world championship leader, Ott Tänak tops the entry in his Ford Puma Rally1, closely followed by title rivals Kalle Rovanperä – who won’t open the road on Friday for the first time in over a year – Thierry Neuville and Elfyn Evans.
In total there are 10 Rally1 cars in what is an identical top-class entry to the season-opening Monte Carlo Rally, including Sébastien Ogier, Dani Sordo and Jourdan Serderidis.
Gus Greensmith – who will contest Rali Vieira do Minho as preparation for México – tops the WRC2 entry in a Toksport Škoda Fabia RS Rally2 but will face stiff competition from fellow former Rally1 drivers Oliver Solberg (Škoda) and Adrien Fourmaux (Ford).
There are nine WRC2 entrants in total, with reigning champion Emil Lindholm also on the entry as well as his 2022 rival Kajetan Kajetanowicz who makes his first start of the season. Both will drive the older shape Fabia.
In total, 32 cars will start next month’s event which begins on Thursday March 16 with two passes of the atmospheric Guanajuato street stage.
Rally México concludes with the El Brinco powerstage on Sunday March 19.
