Renault’s Clio Rally3 has passed its FIA homologation, meaning it can now officially compete in rallies all over the world.

Renault completed 5000km [3106 miles] of testing and development of its new car late last year and unveiled it for the first time in Andorra back in January.

The car made its first on-event appearance on the opening round of the French Gravel Championship, Rallye Terre des Causses, earlier this month, with Quentin Ribaud driving it as a course car.

But today, April 25, the Clio Rally3 is now eligible for competition and will be driven as early as next week on events in France and Italy.

The Clio Rally3 is purely a customer car – Renault will not be running any kind of works program – and is available to order now.

It becomes the second car to be homologated for the FIA’s Rally3 car alongside M-Sport Poland’s Ford Fiesta Rally3 which first hit the stages in 2021.
