Opportunity of a lifetime anybody? A late cancellation has led to an incredible opportunity to sit in the hottest of hot seats at a rally in Italy on Saturday.

OK, it’s the second hottest seat in the house, but still, when did you last get the chance to answer the weekend question with the following…

“Busy one coming up, actually. I’m co-driving in an ex-Sébastien Ogier Citroën C3 WRC.”

You, yes you, can do that on Saturday if you fancy it.

A late cancellation has led to one more place being available alongside Alessandro Gino in one of the fastest rally cars ever created. You’ll co-drive Gino onto the stage before staying put when the lights go green, when you’ll enjoy the ride of your life.

The original plan had been to run this operation at the front of the Rally di Alba field, but complications led to Gino WRC Invest establishing its own event around Sinio, south of Turin.

Gino told DirtFish: “These cars are just incredible. I have been fortunate to drive some nice and fast rally cars in my life, but this one is really in a different world. The acceleration, the grip, the downforce, it takes away your breath.

“We have some space now for Saturday, so it would be a nice chance for somebody to come and join us for this rally. And, don’t forget, this is also a beautiful rally in an amazing part of the world – but you won’t be watching the hills and the scenery for long!”

Gino WRC consultant Andrea Adamo is a man who knows a thing or two about competing with these cars.

“When you think to the people who have sat in that car, in the co-driver’s seat,” said Adamo, “you can count on one hand. There’s Julien Ingrassia and not so many more people – now you have the chance to be one of them. It’s really a special moment.”
