The WRC’s Rally Italy experiment

A new route, whether Ogier is beatable and how to reach fans are the big topics in our pre-Rally Italy Sardinia SPIN, the rally pod

We’re set for a very different Rally Italy Sardinia this weekend. A dramatically reduced number of stages on Friday could limit the impact of running first on the road for Thierry Neuville, and nullify the advantage of those running further down the order.

One of the big questions is whether the new route will deliver value to fans. Colin Clark asks David Evans, Jon Scoltock and George Donaldson their thoughts and, with value very much at the center of the conversation, the team discuss what the FIA World Motorsport Council meeting need to do to help the WRC increase its reach.

There is also the chance to share some favorite memories from Sardinia on the 20th anniversary of the move away from Sanremo, debate whether anyone can actually beat Sébastien Ogier, and just how much all of this could affect Colin’s blood pressure.
