Video: Evans apologizes to Toyota for Monza crash

The WRC points leader slid out of Saturday's action, potentially costing himself and his team title success

What must it feel like to be Elfyn Evans right now? Ahead of the Monza Rally and even throughout it, he was being talked up as the title favorite – and he was – with a 14-point advantage over Sébastien Ogier.

But on SS11 – just five stages from the end of the season – that all changed. Caught out on a change of surface as snowfall intensified, Evans slid off the road, down a bank and into a retirment.

DirtFish’s Colin Clark caught up with Evans at the end of Saturday to find out what went wrong and, crucially, how he’s feeling about it all a couple of hours later.
