The World Rally Championship may not be officially heading to the stages competitively for some months, but the drivers at Hyundai Motorsport and Toyota Gazoo Racing are already back at it in Finland.
They weren’t alone in their visit to the forests, with a handy team of photographers (including DirtFish’s own Heikki Barsk and… Colin Clark) in the trees capturing all the action.
Here are a selection of the best shots from the WRC’s first post-lockdown test.
In a car as quick as he said it was, Ogier must be sad he can't turn his taste of the Toyota's test potential into a Rally Finland victory shot

All social distancing and safety requirements were met during testing. Except for this shot. Two meters apart please!

Mid-air control is crucial on Finland's fast roads, and aerodynamics was a focus of Hyundai's during testing

Kalle Rovanperä racked up the kilometers on the narrow northern roads you wouldn't associate with Finland, but he loved it

Thierry Neuville crashed in his first test back since lockdown, but he was mistake free on his second go

Sébastien Ogier came out of lockdown looking more rejuvenated than ever, and that showed on the classic high-speed stages

Ott Tänak was hungry for his turn in the Hyundai test car to see if it was as confident as he was at high speed on the gravel

Elfyn Evans has little gravel experience in the Toyota, and he made the most of every meter in testing

This cambered road shouldn't have been a surprise for Neuville, but he did receive an unexpected birthday cake to the face once out of the car
