WRC Promoter has launched its Rally.TV app to deliver rally and rallycross content to fans every hour of every day.
As well as running as an application, Rally.TV is already available as a television channel in Poland and Sweden (just launched on TV4 Motor and TV4 Play), with more countries rolling it out in coming months.
Rally.TV will include content from WRC Promoter’s three series: World Rally Championship, the European Rally Championship and World Rallycross. Action from all three will be screened live on event – starting from this week’s ERC-counting Barum Rally Zlín – with re-lives and archive material running between events.
WRC Promoter Senior Director of Media Rights and OTT Philipp Maenner said: “With our growing portfolio of championships, we’re simplifying the experience while delivering more premium content than ever before.
“Rally.TV signifies a natural evolution in our commitment to enhancing fan engagement.”
WRC Promoter is building on the WRC All Live product launched in 2018. This offered live action from every stage of the world championship for the first time in the history of the series.
Maenner added: “As the promoter of the WRC, we have already achieved what was not previously deemed possible and we now see the move into a total video-first approach as the next logical step to evolve the fan experience.
“Rally.TV is not just a digital platform – it’s a strategic move that underscores our dedication to elevating the entire rally ecosystem.”
