WRC’s new 24/7 channel to launch mid-2023

Fans will be able to watch the WRC, ERC and World RX through the same fixed subscription

The World Rally Championship’s evolution of its All Live platform will make its debut midway through 2023, with the rebranding also incorporating the European Rally Championship as well as the World Rallycross Championship as part of an expanded television package.

All Live has been renamed Rally.TV and will bring all of WRC Promoter’s championships under one roof, with both World RX and the ERC being added to the promoter’s portfolio in the last two years.

Plans to run a 24/7 TV channel were first announced back in May, with WRC Promoter’s managing director Jona Siebel keen to attract new audiences to rallying.

“We will launch a 24/7 rally TV channel for the championships next year,” explained Siebel earlier this year. “We want to reach new markets; we want to enter new markets, so this is our plan to develop the TV we are very confident.”

Rally.TV subscriptions will be available to purchase from December via the official WRC and World RX websites, with a full roll-out of the streaming service expected to launch in mid-2023.

The announcement also pointed towards extensive changes and upgrades to the current service for customers.

“As well as every race and stage being streamed live in HD and on-demand, Rally.TV gives users more content than ever before – with a host of new and exciting additions including a 24/7 channel and exclusive insights,” it read.

“The platform will be available on all devices – meaning wherever you are in the world, you’ll never be far from all the action.

“New features, including the 24/7 channel, will be continually implemented throughout 2023, leading up to the launch of the all-new Rally.TV platform.”

Existing All Live customers will continue to benefit from the service, which adopted ERC live coverage at the start of 2022, for the same price of $102 (€99) while also being able to watch every session of the World RX season.

Since announcing Red Bull Media House as its promoter following the early termination of the contract with long-standing former promoter IMG, World RX has been broadcast via its own version of All Live, called RX+.

Currently offering a full season subscription at just over $50 (€49.99), customers expecting to renew for 2023 will have to fork out an extra $50 per year but will obtain access to both the WRC and ERC.

Much like the current streaming models, monthly subscriptions will also be available, with Rally.tv offering $10.33 (€10).
