World Rallycross’ round in Hell, Norway, has become the latest round of the series to be postponed due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

It joins the rounds in Barcelona, Montalegre, and Spa-Francorchamps in needing to find an alternative date, having originally been scheduled for June 13-14.

“Due to the decision by the Norwegian Minister of Sport and Culture to suspend all sporting events until June 15 in light of the global health concerns regarding COVID-19 (coronavirus), this year’s World RX of Norway, scheduled for June 13-14, has been postponed,” World RX organizer IMG said in a statement.

“This decision was made after careful consideration and consultation with the FIA, the Norwegian ASN and the local event organizer, as the health and safety of everyone involved remains our priority.

“We are studying a viable alternative date for the event in conjunction with the local event organizer. We will provide further updates as soon as we have them.”

The announcement means that there will be no World RX event until July at the earliest. The ‘Magic Weekend’ in Holjes, Sweden is scheduled for the weekend of July 4-5.

Yesterday World RX Beneulx at Spa-Francorchamps, originally the round before Hell, was provisionally moved to October  3-4. It is the only postponed World RX round so far to get a new date.
