The Bahrain Raid Xtreme team that Sébastien Loeb and Nani Roma will drive for on next month’s Dakar Rally has revealed the look of its new car, which has been named the Hunter.

A 3.5-liter turbo-charged petrol V6 engine powers the vehicle, which has been designed specifically for the world’s most famous rally-raid competition, and has been developed by World Rally Championship-winning team Prodrive.

Both Loeb and Roma have already tested the Hunter, and the latter was particularly pleased to reveal his new ride.

“The BRX Hunter has been a long time in the making, and to play a part in seeing it come to life has been a great experience,” said Roma.

“The Dakar Rally is a truly special challenge, and to race with BRX in its first rally and show the world what Hunter is capable of is incredibly exciting.”

Loeb added that he’s “been learning new things every day” during the development of the Hunter, which is going for outright victory on the 2021 Dakar.

The nine-time WRC champion’s best finish in the event so far is a second place with Peugeot in 2017, when the rally was located in South America. Next year’s route takes place exclusively in Saudi Arabia.
