The Olympic Stadium played host to the opening stage of this year’s edition for the first time since 2006, and to say it delivered would be an understatement.
There was drama – potentially of championship-ending significance – when Andreas Mikkelsen got up close and personal with the barriers, while the joy the drivers felt competing in front of so many people was clear to see.
