Monza is making a habit of being a late arrival to the World Rally Championship calendar, joining the schedule as the finale for the second year in a row.
There’s a championship to be settled but equally a rally to be won, so there’s plenty of intrigue throughout.
Running a rally predominantly at a racetrack may sound unorthodox but it did provide a challenge last year, so should only do the same in 2021.
Friday and Saturday’s legs both consist of a pair of closed-road stages in the mountains, repeated once before stages back at the Monza circuit, while the final day on Sunday comprises three stages all within the confines of the track.
